Launched recently, OYA Development initiative, is our non-profit arm set up to create content in pursuit of social justice and cohesion as well as to create the next generation of exceptional film makers and journalists. Our intention is to identify, train, equip and galvanise Nigeria’s new, emerging and future story tellers, film-makers and content producers to tell necessary stories with unflinching rigour, sense of purpose, grace and style.

We aim to nurture and develop a core of film makers who will bring the highest production values to a distinctly Nigerian creative style, with a progressive point of view and inclusive work ethos. The plan is to produce a generation of filmmakers from Nigeria who will gift the world a unique perspective and style. This includes strengthening their capacity for promoting justice and equity through creativity, curiosity and investigation. The goal is to prepare the youth for a brighter future which they will build.
